The foods featured on my site have been shaped in part through my travels for both work and play. Experiencing the foods and cultures of many wide-ranging places has influenced my cooking tremendously, and I draw on these influences to create fresh, home-cooked food that tastes great.

I studied Nutritional Therapy through the CLIMB Institute for Health Professionals and am Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition (candidate) through the Holistic Nutrition Credentialing Board. I work as a writer, editor, and recipe developer.

I am a mother to two school-aged children, who are my favorite samplers of myriads of pickling, fermenting and home cooking recipes. I have called Portland home for over a decade, but have also lived in Los Angeles, Orlando, Atlanta, Chicago, Tokyo, and Bangalore, India.
